Vision & Philosophy

By Rejoy Krishnan•Photographer & Mentor

“Photography as emotional restoration, mental wellbeing, and life beyond the frame.”

Every human being goes through a phase when life feels unclear.

During his creative journey, Rejoy once watched a close photographer friend struggle through a difficult phase. He had lost direction and almost stopped taking photography assignments.

“Rejoy suggested something simple: “Let’s go shoot. Not for a client. Not for anyone else. Just for ourselves.” They did it for several days.”

Slowly, something changed. His friend began finding new ideas, experimenting with light and composition, and most importantly, enjoying photography again.

Watching this transformation made Rejoy realise that photography could be more than an art or profession. It could become a space for expression, connection, and rediscovering oneself.

Since then, he has believed that a camera can give us: • A reason to step outside. • A reason to observe. • A reason to create. • A reason to connect.

His vision is to explore photography as a creative pathway towards mental wellbeing, especially for people who feel lonely, disconnected, or simply need a meaningful space to express themselves.

Vision & Philosophy — Archival Photograph

““Photography is not just about capturing light — it’s about restoring it in people.” The camera is the medium. People are the story. And the purpose is to create something meaningful.”

From a radio microphone to a camera, Rejoy's medium changed, but his purpose remained the same: To tell stories, connect hearts, inspire creativity, mentor minds, and bring more meaning and light into people’s lives.
